The Seafax Executive Team includes:
George Babeu, Principal
George Babeu brings more than 25 years of sales, marketing and financial experience
to Seafax. He came to the company from American Credit Indemnity, a subsidiary of
Dun & Bradstreet in Baltimore, where he was a regional vice president.
Mr. Babeu also previously served in sales, marketing and other management positions
with Dun & Bradstreet Information Services. He holds a BS degree from Siena College.
He is a graduate of the NACM School of Credit and Financial Management at Dartmouth.
James M. Bonnvie, Principal
Jim Bonnvie has been with Seafax for 19 years. He oversees all sales and marketing
for the company. Mr. Bonnvie attended the University of Southern Maine for business
administration, the Dale Carnegie sales training program and the Boston College
School of Business.
David B. Weatherbie, Principal
David Weatherbie has been with Seafax for ten years. In addition to his responsibilities
as CFO and Treasurer, he oversees the operations of the company. Mr. Weatherbie previously
held the position of manager/senior financial analyst of UNUM Corporation. He earned a
degree in economics from Bates College and an MBA from the University of Southern Maine.
Frank Martino, Senior VP, Credit Services, Consulting, and Client Relationships
Mr. Martino has spent the last 25 years helping seafood companies mitigate risk
through the understanding of credit principles and data. Prior to being named to head
Seafax, Mr. Martino founded Seafood Credit Corporation in 1980, which merged with Seafax
in 1999. Mr. Martino began his food industry career with Empress International, and
served in the US Air Force. He holds an MBA in finance and marketing from St. John's
University and a BA in economics from Queens College.
Anne Ollmann, VP, Engineering
Anne Ollmann joined the Seafax team in June 1992. Prior to leading the Engineering group,
Ms. Ollmann worked her way through several positions within IT, beginning as a
programmer/analyst. The engineering group at Seafax is responsible for software
development (including seafax.com) and network, systems, database and telecommunications
administration. Prior to joining Seafax, Ms. Ollmann held positions with ITT
Financial Services. She earned a BS in Business Administration from St. Joseph's College (ME).
Beth Gideon, VP, Credit and Special Investigations
Beth Gideon began her career at Seafax in 1989 as a credit analyst. She later became
a credit reporting manager before establishing the Special Investigations department.
As Editor of Seafax's newswire product, she heads a group that investigates pertinent
and timely food industry news. Prior to joining Seafax, Ms. Gideon worked in retail,
banking, wholesale food distribution and radio journalism. Ms. Gideon holds a Bachelor's
degree in Communications from the University of New Hampshire.
Richard Kelly, VP, Collections & Risk Management Services
Rich Kelly joined Seafax in 1994 as a collection representative and since 1996 has
managed the collection department. He is a licensed insurance broker and supports
George Babeu in Seafax's risk management services division, One Source. Mr. Kelly
has 20 years of credit and collections experience. Prior work experiences were in
the paper industry and managing one of New England's oldest collection agencies.
Mr. Kelly holds a BS degree in Finance from Boston College.
Sheldon Hamilton, VP, Sales & Marketing
Sheldon Hamilton joined Seafax in January of 1995 as an inside sales rep and has
held several positions over the past 10 years within Seafax's sales department
including Southeast sales representative, Northeast sales representative and
Eastern U.S. sales manager. He currently manages all sales and marketing
throughout the company. Sheldon worked on a lobster boat off the coast of Maine
before heading off to college. Mr. Hamilton graduated from Mississippi State
University with a BS degree in Marketing, and is presently finishing his MBA
in Business and Marketing at Babson College.
